Residential Interior

“Simple Modern Style (“SMS”) assisted us with home interior and loggia paint color choices and application techniques, as well as fabrics in several rooms. Ms. Sampson first subtly scoped our interests, style of life, color likes, and the mood/feeling we thought we were trying to create, along with learning the light patterns and functional use(s) of each room.  Recommendations followed shortly which were aptly supported. Ms. Sampson explained color choices and alternatives so my husband, a non-colorist, was satisfied.  She managed to satisfy both of us with our differing color preferences and was never pushy about her recommendations.

SMS described how a room as a whole would look and feel as part of their color choices and how each fit into the overall ‘scheme’ of the house.  We saw and felt the sense of cohesion and flow in our home, even though SMS did not “do” furniture nor all the rooms’ color or look.  From the beginning we were comfortable that our whole home’s look and atmosphere were in good hands, however much or little SMS contributed to its décor.

As the project proceeded, Ms. Sampson offered insight and suggestions about lighting, furniture placement, and room accent / accessories, since we asked.  Again, comments were well supported with reasoning and explained in lay terms that resonated with us the audience.  We have subsequently consulted with SMS again and, if the need arises, will yet again.”
