07.06.2005 Sampson Becomes Member of the Color Marketing Group (CMG)

Sandra Sampson has been accepted as a member of the Color Marketing Group (CMG), The Premier International Association for Color and Design Professionals.

Sampson will be participating in the CMG's Fall International Conference, "moving color: Tracking Color into Our Future," in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Attendees will focus on current and future color palettes for Contract/Commercial products at the Fall Conference.

07.15.2004 Designer Completes Eiseman Color and Design Course

Sandra Sampson recently completed the Color Design course taught by leading color expert, Leatrice Eiseman.

Topics covered were:

• The psychology of color
• Advanced color training for industry
• Information on professional color systems
• Color naming and specifying
• Workshops on color combinations
• The how-to’s of color forecasting, sources and guidelines

Alumni of the class formed the Eiseman Color Society to keep abreast of emerging color design trends. This SITE is open to all class alumni.

 

04.01.1987 Sampson Completes Crook Color Theory and Application Course

As part of the Graphics Packaging curriculum at Art Center, Pasadena, Sampson successfully completed an in-depth study of color theory and application. Judith Crook, Art Center professor and color theory author, encouraged exploration of computer color renderings as well as painting and fabrics.
